HOUSTON - The 67th-ranked Tulane men's tennis team returns to the courts this weekend for the 56th Rice Invitational presented by the Wyndham Houston-Medical Center and will face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and host Rice in a pair of dual matches.

The Green Wave (11-4) will battle TAMCC on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT and then take on Rice on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT.

"This is yet another great opportunity for us to play some very solid opponents on the road," Tulane head coach Mark Booras said. "We know that both of these teams are capable of playing at a very high level so we know that we will have to bring our best performance this weekend in order to have success."

TAMCC (11-6) enters this weekend having won three of the last four matches, including a pair of 4-0 wins over DePaul and Western Michigan.

Rice (5-9) has won three straight matches entering their own invitational, including a 4-0 win at Lamar and a 6-0 victory over Texas-Pan American.

Tulane has split the last four outings and is led by sophomore Dominik Koepfer with a 13-1 dual match singles mark. Koepfer has also teamed with freshman Jao Chi-Shan in doubles to collect a 12-2 dual match record with five straight wins.

After this weekend the Green Wave return home to close out the regular season with a four-match homestand that begins on March 29 against Southern Miss at the City Park Pepsi Tennis Center.
