Feb. 29, 2000

NEW ORLEANS, La. - - The Tulane men's tennis team will play one of the toughest schedules in the nation next spring, head coach Robert Klein has announced.

Tulane's 2001 Spring Schedule features home matches with such opponents as LSU, Baylor, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Miami, Virginia Tech, Arkansas, Louisiana-Lafayette and the annual Pelican Cup meeting with the University of New Orleans.

In addition, the Green Wave will once again compete in the prestigious Blue-Gray Classic in Montgomery, Ala., while also travelling to face Tulsa, Kansas, Michigan and TCU, among others.

"Our schedule this spring (2000) is the best it has ever been," Klein said. "But the schedule we have coming up next year is even better. We have some of the nation's top teams coming to play us on our home court at Goldring Stadium. Plus, we will travel to some great locations for our road trips next spring. All in all, it should be a great schedule."
