Feb. 16, 2013

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Tulane's men's tennis team travels up Interstate 59 on Sunday to face Conference USA rival Southern Miss in a dual match at 1 p.m. CT at the USM Tennis Courts.

The Green Wave (2-2) hasn't taken to the courts since falling to No. 44 Vanderbilt and No. 42 Middle Tennessee State in the first weekend of February.

Tulane is led by Dominik Koepfer who is a perfect 4-0 in single matches this spring. The freshman has played No. 3, 4 and 5 singles for the Green Wave this season.

In doubles, Koepfer has paired with senior Idan Mark to post a 3-1 record at the No. 1 spot. The pair has helped Tulane win three of the four doubles points this spring.

Southern Miss (7-2) is coming off a 4-3 upset of No. 54 South Alabama on Thursday. Andrew Goodwin leads the Golden Eagles with a 7-2 singles record, including a 6-1 mark at the No. 2 spot.

Tulane returns home to host Lamar next Saturday at 1 p.m. CT at City Park and then host Texas Tech at 1 p.m. CT on Sunday.
