Mike Kogan Earns Athlete of the Week Honor

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Tulane University freshman Michael Kogan (Kfar-Saba, Israel) was named the Conference USA Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week the league announced on Tuesday.

Kogan completed another perfect week on the tennis court. The No. 34 singles player in the country, he won both of his top flight singles matches this week and is now a perfect 6-0 in singles this spring. He has also teamed with senior Mikko Viljanen to be perfect at 6-0 in No. 1 doubles. Kogan and Viljanen, ranked No. 18 in the nation in doubles, upset the No. 5 ranked tandem from Baylor on Sunday, 9-8.

The Green Wave men's tennis squad is off until Saturday, Feb. 24, when it travels to UL-Lafayette.
