NEW ORLEANS - Looking to build upon last weekend's double header sweep, the Tulane men's tennis team hosts Florida A&M at the Goldring Tennis Center on Friday at 10 a.m. CT.
The Green Wave (2-2) defeated Jacksonville State, 5-1, and Xavier (NO), 5-0, last Saturday top begin a four-match homestand. Friday's schedule was supposed to include a second match against Alcorn State, but it has been postponed.
Florida A&M (2-3) is coming off a pair of victories last weekend, including a 4-3 win over SMU and a 4-3 decision over Florida Gulf Coast. The Rattlers also have 4-3 losses to No. 33 Miami and Florida Atlantic.
"Florida A&M is a solid team that has been continuing to improve a lot," Tulane head coach Mark Booras said. "They have had some great results over the past couple of weekends and needless to say we are expecting a very tough battle."
Four Green Wave players have recorded two wins in dual match play this spring, including Idan Mark, Takumka Ohashi, Rodrigo Rappaccioli and Shaye Wali. The pair of Ohashi and Adam Bernstein in doubles is 2-0 this spring as well.
Tulane will return to the courts Sunday to host UT-San Antonio at the Goldring Tennis Center at Noon.
