MADISON, Wisc. - The 70th-ranked Tulane men's tennis team hits the road for the first time this dual match season when they face No. 67 Wisconsin at Noon CT on Sunday at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium.
The Green Wave (3-0) won each of the first three home matches this spring and have only dropped one point of the 21 possible in the first three outings.
Tulane's singles line-up of Dominik Koepfer, Sebastian Rey, Jao Chi-Shan, Alex Van Cott and Ian Van Cott are all 3-0 this young season, while the doubles duos of Rey and Ian Van Cott, and Koepfer and Chi-Shan are each 2-0.
Wisconsin (1-2) eared the first victory of the season on Saturday with a 7-0 decision over South Dakota State and played Bradley on Saturday evening. The Badgers losses came to UCLA and Texas Tech, both ranked among the best teams in the nation.
"This will be a good experience for our guys," Tulane head coach Mark Booras said. "Going on the road for the first time for a dual match will be a challenge for the young guys and anytime you face a ranked team you know you have to bring your best to the courts."
Tulane will return home to host a pair of dual matches this weekend when Nicholls State visits the City Park Pepsi Tennis Center on Friday at 3 p.m. CT and North Florida comes to town for a 1 p.m. CT start on Sunday.
