MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Sophomore David Goulet advanced to the Round of 16 at the ITA Southeast Men's Tennis Regional last weekend at the Racquet Club on Memphis.

Goulet posted three victories to open the tourney, including an upset of 62nd-ranked Matt Lockin from Vanderbilt, 7-6, 1-6, 6-1, in the round of 64. He was upended by Georgia State's Jaime Rodriguez, the 17th seed in the tournament, in the round of 16.

In doubles action, junior Jacobo Hernandez and sophomore Ted Angelinos won three matches to push into the quarterfinals. The Green Wave duo posted an upset of the tourney's No. 1 seed, John Isner and Antonio Ruiz from Georgia. The Bulldog pair is ranked No. 11 in the nation. In the quarters, Tulane's team was upended by Scott Brown and Jason Pinsky in a hard-fought 9-8 match. Brown and Pinsky are ranked No. 27 in the nation.

Angelinos and Hernandez each also recorded wins in singles action, but both came up against tough opponents in the second round and were eliminated. Angelinos fell to Kentucky's Jesse Witten, who is ranked No. 3 in the nation, while Hernandez lost to 63rd-ranked Andreas Siljestrom from Middle Tennessee State.
