Sneddon Gets Win in Final Day at Rice

NEW ORLEANS -- Shaye Wali and Coby Kramer-Golinkoff of the Tulane men's tennis team, were unable to claim wins in the consolation finals of their respective singles Flights on Sunday in the final day of the 2011 Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Rice Fall Invitational at the Jake Hess Tennis Stadium.

Wali fell to LSU's Mark Bowtell, 6-4, 7-6, in the Flight A singles consolation final, while Kramer-Golinkoff lost, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2, to Rice's Tachibana in the consolation final of Flight C singles.

Freshman Iain Sneddon did claim a victory in his consolation match Sunday, defeating Leif Berger from Rice, 6-1, 6-2, in Flight C singles.

Idan Mark, the 50th ranked singles player in the nation, is set to begin his quest for the ITA All-American title when he takes to the court Monday at 1 p.m. CT against St. John's Vasko Mladenov in the qualifying phase of the championship in Tulsa, Okla.
