FALL 2009
Recorded a 2-4 mark in singles action... picked up a victory over Michael Reeks of Centenary at the Wilson/ITA South Region Championships... Earned a straight-set win over Jacksville State's Justin Andrews at the Alabama Crimson Tide Invitational... Did not participate in doubles.

PREP
Somers was an all-state performer at Pembroke Hill High School in Leawood, Kansas. He helped Pembroke Hill to the state championship in 2006 and 2009, and was part of the tandem which won the Missouri Conference doubles championship.
