Tempo Continues To Build As Football Takes Field For Day 11 Of Camp The scene early Monday morning at the Westfield Practice Facility was one of peace and serenity. Following a light rain in the New Orleans area, the scene was almost something out of Thoreau's Walden as the sun crept across the turf and the sounds of birds chirping and dogs barking echoed from the distance. Boomer's to Host 2008 Let's Talk Tulane Football on August 24 The sixth annual "Let's Talk Tulane Football," sponsored by the Ray Hester Chapter of the Tulane Athletics Fund, will take place at Boomers, located on the premises of Boomtown Casino, on Sunday, August 24, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The event is open to the public and tickets are $15 per person. Day Nine of Tulane Football Camp Features Controlled Scrimmage As Tulane football head coach Bob Toledo mixes in a variety of game elements to his practices, he used Saturday as an opportunity to hold an afternoon intra-squad scrimmage, following the morning practice. Tulane-Alabama Football Kickoff Time Set for 6:07 p.m. The Tulane Green Wave football team will kick-off the 2008 season at 6:07 p.m. on Saturday, September 6 against the University of Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Green Wave Football Adjusts To New Situations On Day Eight Of Preseason Camp The Tulane Green Wave football team continued to build towards the 2008 season Friday, as the team focused on game situations in a morning practice at the Westfeldt Practice Facility and then situated their housing for the 2008 season in the afternoon. After a grueling two-a-day session on Thursday tested the Wave physically, head coach Bob Toledo and his staff made sure the players didn't get too comfortable, by mentally pushing the players with new material. |
