NEW ORLEANS - Tulane junior quarterback Patrick Ramsey has been named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after throwing for a school-record five touchdowns and 380 passing yards in the Green Wave's 50-38 victory over Navy Saturday.
Ramsey, who tallied his third consecutive 300-yard passing game, completed 26-of-40 passes in helping Tulane even its record at 5-5 on the year. The junior from Ruston, La., now ranks second all-time at Tulane with 47 touchdown passes in 20 career starts and has tied Shaun King's school record with at least one TD pass thrown in 20 consecutive starts. He leads Conference USA in both passing yardage and total offense as he is 200-of-333 passing this year for 2,473 yards, 21 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
USATODAY.com also named Ramsey its Conference USA Player of the Week. Tulane's quarterback previously earned C-USA Offensive Player of the Week honors following the Green Wave's win over SMU earlier this year.
