NEW ORLEANS, La. - Senior wide receiver Damarcus Davis, sophomore linebacker Evan Lee and junior defensive back David Skehan were named Tulane's Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, Green Wave head coach Chris Scelfo announced Monday.

Skehan claimed the team's special team's honor for the second time this season, and third overall as he was named Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts against SMU on Sept. 30. Davis and Lee, meanwhile, earned the respective honors for the first time in 2006.

Davis posted a career-high 126 receiving yards on eight receptions in Tulane's 38-13 loss at Auburn last Saturday night, besting his previous career-mark of 100 vs. SMU. He joined fellow senior wideout Preston Brown (nine catches, 139 yards) in the 100-yard receiving category, and the duo became the first Tulane receivers to eclipse the century mark in the same game since Sept. 19, 2003 when Roydell Williams (114) and Chris Bush (107) accomplished the feat against Mississippi State in the Louisiana Superdome.

Lee was named Defensive Player of the Week after tying for the team lead with nine stops against the Tigers. Four of his tackles were of the solo variety and he also posted a fumble recovery in the second quarter.

Skehan, meanwhile, played a dual role as special teams demon and starting strong safety. He posted six total tackles on the day - including one for a loss - and helped limit Auburn's punt return team to zero yards. In addition, Skehan forced a fumble, which was later recovered by Lee, to halt a Tigers drive deep in Tulane territory.

Davis, Lee, Skehan and the Green Wave return to action on Saturday, Oct. 28, when they return to the Louisiana Superdome for Homecoming 2006 vs. Army at 1 p.m. Tickets for the game, and future Green Wave contests, remain for sale through the Tulane Athletics Ticket Office.

The Ticket Office is located on the first floor of the James W. Wilson, Jr. Center, and tickets can be purchased in person, via the telephone at (504) 861-WAVE or via the internet at www.TulaneGreenWave.com. In addition, single-game tickets are also available via Ticket Master at www.TicketMaster.com and at all Ticket Master outlets.
