Sept. 30, 2008

New Orleans - Final details for Saturday's homecoming game were announced today by Tulane University, as "Homecoming in the Oaks" begins at 9 a.m. this Saturday with the Tulane Tailgate Homecoming Village on Roosevelt Mall outside the gates of Tad Gormley Stadium in City Park. The activities continue with Big Sam and the Funky Nation playing on the main stage at 10 a.m., with the Homecoming Court Parade rolling through at 11:30 a.m. The Green Wave football team arrives at Noon, followed by special presentations on the stage prior to kickoff at 2 p.m.

Parking is readily available for $10 around the stadium and there will be parking attendants on site to direct fans. Superdome season parking passes will be honored at Tad Gormley on Saturday. The City of New Orleans will not allow parking on the neutral grounds and will be ticketing so fans are encouraged to park in lots designated by Tulane Athletics.

Other highlights for the day include a check presentation from Tulane alumni reunion classes, the presentation of the 2008 Homecoming Court and Grand Marshall at halftime, along with the introduction of the 2008 Tulane Athletics Hall of Fame Class. The 2008 class includes Pam Buff (women's golf), Perry Clark (men's basketball coach), John Olagues (baseball) and Patrick Ramsey (football) along with the Green Wave's undefeated 1998 football team, which includes Tulane great Shaun King. The class will be formally inducted at a luncheon on Friday.

Game tickets are still available for purchase by calling 504-861-WAVE (9283) or by visiting www.tulanegreenwave.com.
