New Orleans - Tulane Athletics will host "Bring Your `A' Game - Celebrating Education in New Orleans" this Thursday, September 25, at the Superdome when the Green Wave battles the SMU Mustangs. The evening is billed as an opportunity to show the country that New Orleans' primary and secondary education is back and better than ever. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcasted live to a national audience on CBS College Sports.

Among the many exciting efforts taking place is an invitation for all Recovery School District (RSD) students to attend the game free-of-charge. Tulane Athletics will provide free busing, a tour of the Superdome, pre-game interactive events with Green Wave student-athletes, dinner, game tickets, and a chance to come onto the field for the introduction of the TU football team, for up 1,500 students who have been selected by their schools for outstanding performance. In addition, RSD bands have been invited and will perform with the Tulane Marching Band at halftime.

"Tulane University has taken an active role in the rebuilding and renewal of the New Orleans educational system. We're pleased to invite and welcome the youth of New Orleans to the Superdome for a Tulane football game, while at the same time honoring the efforts of all organizations who are giving back to this great cause," Tulane Director of Athletics Rick Dickson said.

All other area schoolchildren, from charter, public, private, and parochial schools, will be admitted for free if they bring any assignment graded `A'. Tulane University has taken an extremely active role in the rebuilding of the public school system and wants to honor all schools for their hardwork and dedication to the future of New Orleans. In addition, organizations who work day-in and day-out to enhance the school system have been invited and will be honored during halftime.

For more information regarding this initiative, or how to register your school, please contact Tulane Marketing at athletics@tulane.edu or 504-314-7215.
