Tulane head coach Curtis Johnson will be one of four featured speakers at the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club on Monday, Aug. 26.

New Orleans - Tulane Head Football coach Curtis Johnson, New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President and General Manager Mickey Loomis, LSU Coordinator of Football Relations Charles Baglio and Newman Head Football coach Nelson Stewart are the featured speakers at the first meeting of the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club on Monday, August 26 at noon at The Cannery, 3803 Toulouse Street in New Orleans.
Johnson is building a program from the ground up with many Louisiana products, aggressively seeking to keep the state's vast talent at home. A native of the New Orleans area, Johnson previously served for six years as wide receivers coach of the New Orleans Saints and was part of the magical Super Bowl championship run in 2009.
The Cannery is an outstanding reception hall for all types of events, located behind the American Can Company Building.
Sponsored by Compliance Technology, the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club enters its 75th year in 2013, promoting the very best of amateur football, along with the New Orleans Saints.
Annual membership is $50. Members and non-members are invited to the weekly luncheons, which are held every Monday for 17 consecutive weeks, with the exception of Tuesday, September 3, the day after Labor Day, running through Monday, December 16.
The cost for members for lunch is $20 while non-members are welcome at $25 each. Speakers on the Saints, LSU, Tulane and prep football are featured every week. The Quarterback Club selects a prep player of the week from the metro area each week and will announce a prep player of the year at the final meeting on Monday, December 16, sponsored by the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.
