NEW ORLEANS - Tulane University Director of Athletics Rick Dickson announced details of a family-friendly marketing plan for the 2000 football season.

The plan, which focuses heavily on New Orleans-area families, gives a full menu of choices to meet the needs of all fans in the area. In addition to three season ticket plans, Dickson also announced that four of the five home games at the Louisiana Superdome will kick-off at 5 p.m. The Wave's Oct. 14 Homecoming game against Southern Miss begins at 2:30 p.m.

Tulane season tickets for the 2000 campaign will cost just $100 for adults and $35 for children under 18 years of age, a 15 percent savings over the single-game rate. Season ticket holders have first priority on seat locations in the 'Dome.

Two new ticket packages are also being offered. The "Family Zone" offers a family of four (two adults and two children under 18) season tickets in sections 148-150 of the Plaza level for just $135, a 50 percent savings for that level of seating.

Also new for 2000 is the Tulane Bonus Book. The Bonus Book offers a package of 10 admissions to either football or men's basketball games for $150. This plan offers the flexibility to choose the numbers of tickets to the games of your choice.

Dickson also unveiled the Multi-Sport Pass, a season ticket plan for women's basketball, soccer and volleyball. For just $90, a family of four (two adults and two children under 18) can enjoy season tickets to all three sports and admission to one baseball game at Turchin Stadium.

Additionally, facility announcements were made regarding the soccer and volleyball programs. For the first time ever, the Tulane women's soccer program will play its entire home schedule on campus. All eight of the program's home matches will be played at the McWilliams Track/Soccer Complex, located behind the Wilson Center.

The volleyball program will host two in-season tournaments on campus at the Riley Center. The Green Wave will host the Kathy Trosclair Memorial Tournament (Sept. 1-2) and the Nokia Sugar Bowl Tournament (Sept. 8-9) on consecutive weekends in one of the finest multi-sport facilities in the nation.
