New Orleans - The 2013 Tulane football summer camp for high school students entering grades 9-12 for the 2013-14 school year will take place Monday-Wednesday, June 13-15, at City Park's Pan American Stadium. The cost is $40 per day.
Due to construction of Tulane's new on-campus football stadium, Yulman Stadium, this year's camp will be moved off campus to Pan American Stadium. Each camper will work with one of Tulane's assistant coaches who will help develop and improve each camper's ability.
Tulane head football coach Curtis Johnson and his staff are committed to a planned program that will focus on football development, including blocking, tackling (proper technique), passing, catching, kicking and other specialties.
Each camper will be timed in the 40-yard dash, undergo and agility test and receive individual instruction.
"Summer camps are a great opportunity for high school kids to receive quality individual instruction from a collegiate coaching staff and they are also a great avenue for kids to showcase their talents and get to know other kids, as well as our coaching staff," Johnson said.
