New Orleans - Tulane football's 2013 Conference USA opener at Louisiana Tech has been moved to Thursday, Sept. 12 to accommodate national television, as it was announced today by the league office. Game times and networks will be announced at a later date.
Tulane enters its second season under head coach Curtis Johnson and will be making the first-ever trip to Ruston to face Louisiana Tech, which is heading into its inaugural season as a C-USA member. The Green Wave leads the series with the Bulldogs, 7-0, which dates back to 1904. The two teams last met in New Orleans at the Superdome in 1998.
TU will open the 2013 campaign with a pair of home games against Jackson State and South Alabama and then heads to Ruston for its first road contest of the young season.
