NEW ORLEANS -- The Tulane football team put in a spirited practice Thursday in the last workout prior to the Spring Game.
"We worked hard today from start to finish," said head coach Chris Scelfo. "It was a real competitive practice with the guys really battling."
One-on-one drills and run blocking were featured in Thursday's workout with every member of the squad taking part. The competitiveness was evident throughout the practice, which was the final workout before Saturday's Spring Game.
"Overall, the effort was there," said Scelfo. "It's a good thing to see every guy out there competing. It's that kind of competitiveness that has us a little bit ahead of where I thought we would be at this point of the spring."
Tulane continues spring practice through April 3. The Green Wave Spring Game is
scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, at the Tulane football practice facility.
