New Orleans - Tulane Athletics will host a "Saturday with the Green Wave" this Saturday, March 2 at Tad Gormley Stadium in City Park that will feature a trio of events, beginning with the Tulane 5K at 8 a.m., followed by the Green Wave football team's annual spring game at 10:15 a.m. and will conclude with the TU track & field team's "Tulane Team Challenge" at 1:15 p.m.
Fans looking to participate in the Tulane 5K can sign up online at www.TulaneAthletics5K.com, while there is no charge for admission to the football scrimmage and track meet. Fans are encouraged to park in the lots off Marconi Drive (west of the stadium) and enter through the main entrance to the stadium off Marconi Drive.
While Saturday's scrimmage features a look at the 2013 squad minus its freshmen class, Green Wave fans will have a chance to hear from Coach Curtis Johnson and will have a chance to interact with the coaches and players with a meet-and-greet session following the conclusion of practice.
Fans will also have an opportunity to enter a raffle at the entrance to the stadium to win prizes throughout the day's activities.

Fans will also be receiving information in the mail on the renewal process in the coming weeks. Remember any 2013 season ticket holder is guaranteed the ability to purchase seats in the new Yulman Stadium in 2014.

Tulane's 2013 schedule features 12 games, including non-conference matchups against Syracuse, ULM, South Alabama and Jackson State, as well as conference home games against East Carolina, Tulsa, UTEP and North Texas.
The Green Wave returns 18 starters from the 2012 squad, including eight on each side of the ball and two specialists, and the 2012 squad will feature 24 newcomers.
The Tulane football team was originally slated to complete its 15th and final spring practice at Tad Gormley Stadium on Saturday, March 9, but that practice will be moved inside to the Saints practice facility and will be closed to both the public and the media.
The Tulane Team Challenge will be hosted by Tulane and will feature squads from Southeastern Louisiana, Xavier, Loyola and UNO.
