New Orleans - Tulane head football coach Curtis Johnson will team up with the television duo of Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg, co-hosts of ESPN's "Mike & Mike in the Morning," for their event this Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 7:30 p.m. in McAlister Auditorium on the Tulane University uptown campus.
Mike Golic, a former NFL lineman, and Mike Greenberg, a television and radio personality, make up the show's duo known for their very different approaches to sports talk. On Tuesday, the duo will speak to an audience about Super Bowl XLVII and all things sports.
A native New Orleanian, Johnson recently completed his first season at Tulane and was previously a wide receivers coach for the New Orleans Saints from 2006-11. He was a member of the team's Super Bowl championship in 2009. Johnson will discuss the preparation and excitement of playing and winning a Super Bowl, as well as hosting the Super Bowl in his hometown.
"Mike & Mike in the Morning" is simulcast on ESPN2 and often features contributions from professional athletes and other sports analysts. Though the talk at McAlister will not be taped as part of the radio show, the hosts will entertain questions from audience members.
The free event is open to the public and is sponsored by TUCP's Direction Series, which has included speakers such as Al Gore and Steve Jobs in the past.
