Tulane head coach Curtis Johnson will unveil his first recruiting class on national signing day, Wednesday, Feb. 1.

New Orleans - The Tulane University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will host its annual National Signing Day Party on the Tulane campus inside Der Rathskeller, located in the basement of the Lavin-Bernick Center, on Wednesday, Feb. 1, as the Green Wave football program announces its 2012 signing class. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the program will begin at 6 p.m. and will conclude by 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, and fans are encouraged to park in the Loyola Parking Garage.
Tulane first-year head football coach Curtis Johnson and his soon-to-be-announced staff will be on hand to discuss the newest members to the TU football team. Fans will have the opportunity to interact with each of the new coaches and learn first-hand information on each of the Green Wave's signees.
WOW Café and Wingery, located inside Der Rathskeller as well, is sponsoring the event for the second consecutive year and will offer free food and drinks, a cash bar and highlight video clips of the 2012 class will be shown throughout the restaurant.
During the day, Tulane fans can follow the entire signing day process online at www.TulaneGreenWave.com. Tulane Athletics will feature a "War Room" blog highlighting National Letter-of-Intent received from each of the Green Wave's signees, updates from the coaches and a slideshow of action photos and video and biographical information on each signee. Fans can watch Coach Johnson's press conference announcing the program's latest signing class at 2 p.m. The press conference will be streamed online free of charge.
Tulane will also be live on the Green Wave Social Network with continuous updates on Twitter @GreenWaveFB and on Facebook at Tulane Football.
The "Sports Hangover" will broadcast Live from the Wilson Center from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. The show, which airs on Tulane's official flagship station, WIST-AM 690, will feature radio updates throughout the morning and early afternoon on official letters received and interviews from members of the Tulane football coaching staff.
In addition, Tulane Athletics will have 2012 football season ticket information on hand and will be able to accept renewals at the National Signing Day Party. The 2012 slate features seven exciting home games and those opponents will also be announced at the event.
