2002 (through regular season): Played by far the best football of his career in his senior season. Saw action in all 12 games and started nine, including each of the last eight games of the year. Recorded a career-best 33 tackles, including 17 solo tackles and eight tackles for loss. Eight TFLs were three more than his previous career total and ranked fourth on the team in that category. Snagged his second career interception in the UL-Monroe game (10/5), in which he also had a sack and a forced fumble. Matched his career-high with five tackles in the regular season finale against Southern Miss (11/23), while also recording a pair of sacks and knocking down a pass. Also had five tackles (three solo) and two tackles for loss against UAB (10/19). Collected four tackles on three occasions: at UL-Monroe, vs. Cincinnati (10/12) and vs. Army (11/16). Added tackles for losses in the Cincinnati and TCU games.
2001: Saw action in all 12 games. Recorded 21 tackles (10 solo). Had a career-best four tackles, including a sack and a forced fumble against TCU (10/13). Added three tackles against both UCF (9/22) and Southern Miss (11/17). Also serves as the Wave's long snapper.
2000: Played in all 11 games as a regular member of the defensive line rotation. Started against Ole Miss (9/2) and Memphis (11/18). Recorded 16 tackles (12 solo), including two for loss. Also had a pair of sacks, against Cincinnati (9/30) and Houston (11/4). Never tallied more than two tackles in a game, but accomplished that five times.
1999: One of the most productive freshmen on the squad. Played in all 11 games, and earned starts against Syracuse and UL-Lafayette. Had 11 solo and 13 assisted tackles, one for a loss. Added two sacks and one interception. Posted a season-best three solo stops and five total tackles at Ole Miss to go with an interception.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 1999 graduate of Pebblebrook High School in Austell, Ga., where he played football for Coach Chuck Stines. Helped lead Pebblebrook to a 10-2 record in 1998 by recording 64 tackles and 10 quarterback sacks. Also credited with four tackles for loss and three fumble recoveries. Averaged 10 points per game for PHS basketball team. Batted .346 with six home runs for Pebblebrook's baseball squad.
