2002: Saw action in 11 games as a backup defensive lineman, recording 11 tackles, three of those solo. Returned a fumble for 16 yards in the bowl victory over Hawai'i (12/25). Made a season-high three tackles versus East Carolina (9/14). Notched two tackles on four different occasions: against Houston (9/7), Memphis (9/21), UL-Monroe (10/5) and UAB (10/19). Tallied a tackle for loss in front of his hometown fans at UL-Monroe. Missed the last two games of the season with a groin injury. Also had two quarterback pressures on the year.
2001: Played in eight games for the Green Wave, recording 10 tackles. Posted a career-best six tackles (all solo) in the season finale against Southern Miss (11/17). Recorded his first career sack against Navy (11/10).
2000: Saw action in four games. Did not record any tackles.
1999: Redshirted the season.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 1999 graduate of West Monroe High School in West Monroe, La., where he was a four-year letterwinner for Coach Don Shows. Started for three-straight class 5A state championship teams. Earned first team all-district and honorable mention all-state honors as a senior. Collected first team all-district and second-team all-state accolades as a junior. Credited with 196 tackles, 19 quarterback sacks, 16 tackles for loss and 12 quarterback hurries during his career. Also caused three fumbles and recovered five. Named first-team academic all-state. Selected to Who's Who Among American High School Students.
PERSONAL: Terrence Lee Tarver. Born November 5, 1979 in Monroe, La. The son of Van and Mary Jo Tarver. A double major in finance and legal studies. Named to the 1999-2000 and the 2000-2001 Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. A member of Tulane's Student-Athlete Advisory Board.
