Unanimous first team All-District 22-5A defensive end as a senior. Only played football for two years in high school. Collected 40 tackles during the regular season to lead the defensive line. Credited with 10 tackles in Kingwood’s playoff game against #2 ranked Eisenhower. Recovered a pair of fumbles and caused two more during the season. Led Kingwood to the second district championship in school history as a senior. Team went undefeated in district play, as the defense held district opponents to 17 points in five games. Kingwood recorded three shutouts in district play. Coached by Ken Herring at Kingwood. Member of Kingwood’s swimming and baseball teams his freshman and sophomore years. Owned a 3.3 grade point average. Signed with Tulane because “it’s a great program with great coaches, great players and great academics.” |
