A consensus preseason all-league selection and a candidate for All-America honors. Ranks seventh all-time in catches (163) and fifth in receiving yards (2,381) while his 23 TD catches are tied for fourth on the Tulane career charts. Also fourth all-time in 100-yard receiving games with eight. A potent deep threat who has seven TD receptions of 50 yards or more and 13 catches for 40 yards or more. Has caught passes in 27 straight games he has played (missed most of 2002 with broken ankle).

2003: Fifth player in TU history to gain 1,000 receiving yards in a season with 1,006 yards on 66 catches (15.2 average). Earned All-Conference USA and All-Louisiana First Team honors. Led Tulane with nine TD catches and recorded five 100-yard receiving days. Ranked third in Conference USA in receptions and receiving yards per game. Made five catches for a season-high 129 yards at Texas (9/27), including a 77-yarder and a spectacular 15-yard TD catch. Had a career-long 78-yard catch and run at UAB (11/8) and finished with 118 yards on four catches. Added 110 yards on five catches versus TCU (9/1) with a 68-yard score. Other 100-yard days came versus Mississippi State (9/13), when he had 10 catches for 114 yard, and Louisville (10/17), when had gathered five passes for 119 yards, including a 54-yard play.

2002: Received a medical redshirt after fracturing the distal tibia bone in his left leg versus East Carolina (9/14). In the first three games of the year, caught 15 passes for 151 yards and one touchdown. Grabbed 10 passes for 87 yards before getting injured in the fourth quarter vs. East Carolina. Caught three passes for 51 yards, including a 28-yard TD grab, at Houston (9/7). Made a pair of catches for 13 yards in the season opener with Southern (8/31).

2001: Started all 12 games at wide receiver and caught at least two passes in every game. Earned All-Conference USA second team honors as well as All-Louisiana second team recognition. Collegefootballnews.com also selected him as a C-USA All-Star. Led Conference USA and was ninth in the nation with 11 scoring catches, which is tied for fourth on the TU single season list. Led team in receiving yards (886) and was second (56) in catches. Averaged a team-leading 15.8 yards per catch. Fifth in C-USA in receiving yards per game (73.8). Caught four or more passes in nine of 12 games. First Tulane player since 1999 to catch three touchdown passes in a game with grabs of 35, 10 and a team season-long 62-yards versus Navy (11/10). Posted his third 100-yard day of the season at Navy with five catches for 134 yards. Scored touchdowns on catches of two and 20 yards at UAB (10/20). Added a 46-yard score versus TCU (10/13). Caught four passes for 118 yards versus Southern (9/29), including a 50-yard TD. Totalled a team season-high 13 catches for 154 yards and two TDs (one of 50 yards) versus ECU (9/8). His 154 yards tied for the 18th-best total in school history while 13 catches tied for the fourth-highest mark and the most since 1999. Four catches for 86 yards at LSU (9/1) included a 26-yard TD reception and a 43-yard grab.

2000: Selected to the Conference USA All-Freshmen Team after a standout rookie year. Played in all 11 games with one start, tallying 26 catches for 338 yards. Tied for third on the team with 13.0 yards per reception. Caught a pair of touchdown passes: a three-yard grab against SMU (9/23) and a 44-yard strike vs. Houston (11/4). Posted a season-best 86 yards receiving (on four catches) at East Carolina (9/16). Logged a season-best five-catch day (56 yards) versus Louisville (10/28).

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2000 graduate of East St. John High School. One of the top receivers in the South, Williams caught 53 passes for 1,101 yards and 23 TDs as a senior. A member of the Times-Picayune Top 20 Blue Chip List. A two-time all-metro player, an All-River Parish pick and the MVP of the district. Listed by SuperPrep Magazine as the 10th-best prospect in the state. Played for Coach Ronnie Stephens. Drafted in the fifth-round of the 2000 Major League Baseball draft by the Cincinnati Reds. Chose Tulane over Georgia Tech, Florida, LSU and Texas A&M.

PERSONAL: Born March 14, 1981 in New Orleans. The son of Glenda Williams. Majoring in organizational information technology. Cousin Kinya Lennix plays for the Green Wave women's basketball team.
