Football vs. Memphis (10-22-2011)

The Green Wave lost 33-17 to the Memphis Tigers on October 22nd, 2011 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Career Notes: Two-year letterman has 64 tackles (43 solo, 21 assists), 6.5 tackles for loss, three pass break-ups, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery - including one returned for a score - for his career...played in 23 games with 10 starts...is expected to push for time among a deep linebacking corps as a junior.

2011: Saw action in 11 games with six starts as a sophomore...tied for the team lead in forced fumbles (3) while ranking tied for second in fumble recoveries (1), sixth in tackles for loss (4.5), tied for sixth in pass break-ups (3) and eighth with 37 tackles (28 solo, 9 assists)...posted a season-high nine tackles (6 solo, 3 assists) and 1.5 tackles for loss to go with a forced fumble at East Carolina (10/29)...posted eight stops (7 solo, 1 assist) with a pair of pass break-ups and a fumble recovery returned 18 yards for a touchdown at SMU (11/5)...forced a career-high two fumbles and broke up a pass and mixed a tackle for loss among five solo stops vs Memphis (10/22)...also had five tackles (3 solo, 2 assists) and a tackle for loss at Rice (11/19).

2010: Played in all 12 games with four starts at strong-side linebacker as a true freshman...finished tied for fourth on the team in fumble recoveries (1), 10th with 27 tackles (15 solo, 12 assists), and tied for ninth in tackles for loss (2.0)...posted a career-high 10 tackles (4 solo, 6 assists) and a fumble recovery vs Army (10/9)...had a tackle for loss among five stops twice: two solo and three assist in first career start vs Ole Miss (9/11) while tallying four solo and one assist vs UCF (11/20)...also started at Rutgers (10/2), vs Army (10/9) and at UTEP (10/23).

High School: Three-year letterman at Cypress Wood High for head coach David Jones...named a two-star prospect by Rivals.com and Scout.com...helped the Wildcats go a combined 19-7 during his final two prep seasons, including an 11-4 mark as a senior...as a senior, named honorable-mention all-state, first-team All-District 5A-15 and all-area, and second-team All-Greater Houston after tallying two interceptions, four fumble recoveries and one forced fumble...selected to play in the Inaugural Space City Classic in March 2008.
