TULANE: Begins his first playing season after undergoing Tommy John surgery in May of 2009... enters fall camp as the holder on special teams and will make the transition from quarterback to wide receiver during the fall as well. 2008 (FRESHMAN): Did not see any action, received a red-shirt season on the gridiron, but made seven appearances as a pitcher on the Green Wave's baseball team... was 0-1 in nine innings pitched and had a 2.00 earned run average. HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year letterman... saw action at quarterback and wide receiver for head coach Dale Weiner... helped lead the Bears to a combined 38-4 record, three state district titles and a trio of trips to the playoffs - including semifinal berths as a sophomore and junior... played primarily wide receiver as a senior when he hauled in 11 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns... also lettered in baseball where he was an all-state pitcher and catcher last season after going 9-2 from the mound in addition to handling catching duties... off the field, received honorable-mention academic all-state honors and was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
