2005: Battled a hip injury for much of the season which limited him to kickoff duties. Attempted just one kickoff (an on-sides effort) in the first three games. Averaged 53.9 yards-per-kick on 30 kickoffs with a pair of touchbacks. Also served as the punter for the last two games of the year after Chris Beckman was hurt, and averaged 40.4 yards on nine punts. Averaged 44.0 yards on four punts, including a career-long 48-yarder against Tulsa (11/19). Four of his nine punts were downed inside the 20. Completed a 28-yard pass on a fake punt against Southern Miss (11/26) in the final game of the year. Also recorded three tackles.
2004: Handled kickoffs for the Green Wave, booting 50 on the year for an average of 58.0 yards per kick. Also attemped four extra points, connecting on three of those.
2003: Made 40-of-43 PATs and 3-of-7 field goals as a freshman to score 49 points. His 40 PATs tied for the second-highest single-season total at Tulane while his 43 attempts were also second. First collegiate field goal was a 32-yard game-winner versus Mississippi State (9/13) with six seconds on the clock. Hit a career-long 41-yard field goal at Navy (11/1) and added a 19-yarder at UAB (11/8). Rock solid on PATs as blockers came through untouched on three misses, and exhibited a wide variety of effective kickoffs.
HIGH SCHOOL: First team all-state kicker who was an all-district selection as a punter and as a kicker following his junior and senior seasons. Two-time All-Southeast kicker. Made 10-of-16 field goal attempts, including a 49-yarder. Also made 43-of-46 extra points on the season. As a senior, placed 94 percent of his kickoffs into the end zone for touchbacks. Team went undefeated in 2002 regular season. In his junior season, made six-of-eight field goal attempts, including one from 45 yards. Placed all but one of his 28 kickoffs in the end zone for touchbacks. Averaged 38.5 yards per punt in 2001. Also played baseball and ran track.
