Football vs. Memphis (10-22-2011)

The Green Wave lost 33-17 to the Memphis Tigers on October 22nd, 2011 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Career Notes: One-year Tulane and three-year collegiate letterwinner has 62 tackles (26 solo, 36 assist), 12.5 tackles for loss, 6.0 sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, a pair of pass break-ups and an interception for his career...made an immediate impact after transferring from Iowa following the 2008 season and has now played in 26 games with nine starts...is expected to start at left defensive end for the second consecutive season.

2010: Played in 10 games with nine starts as a redshirt-junior...earned second-team All-Louisiana and honorable-mention All-Conference USA recognition after tying for the team lead in forced fumbles (3) and fumble recoveries (2) while finishing second in tackles for loss (11.5) and sacks (6.0), tied for fourth in interceptions (1), tied for sixth with 51 tackles (22 solo, 29 assists) and tied for seventh in pass break-ups (2)...ranked second in C-USA in forced fumbles per game (0.30), third in fumble recoveries per game (0.20), 11th in sacks per game (0.60) and 14th in tackles for loss per contest (1.15)...finished tied for 46th nationally in tackles for loss per game (1.15) and 47th in sacks per game (0.60)...made Tulane debut at Houston (9/25) and responded with a career-best 10 tackles (2 solo, 8 assists) and 3.5 tackles for loss, including 1.5 sacks...posted nine stops (5 solo, 4 assists), a career-high 2.0 sacks, a fumble recovery and an interception at Marshall (11/27)...named C-USA Defensive Player of the Week after recording six tackles (2 solo, 4 assists) with 1.5 sacks among 2.5 tackles for loss at Rutgers (10/2)...had seven assisted stops, a half tackle for loss, a fumble recovery and a pass break-up at UTEP (10/23).

2009: Sat out the season due to NCAA transfer rules...redshirted the year.

Prior To Tulane: Played two seasons at the University of Iowa for coach Kirk Ferentz...played in 11 games as a true freshman in 2007, posting eight tackles (3 solo, 5 assists), a tackle for loss and two kickoff returns for a combined 15 yards...had a career-best three tackles (2 solo, 1 assist), including a tackle for loss, in the Hawkeyes' win over Syracuse (9/8/07)...also posted single tackles at Iowa State (9/15/07), at Wisconsin (9/22/07), at Penn State (10/6/07), at Northwestern (11/3/07) and vs Western Michigan (11/17/07)...also return a pair of kickoffs during the 2007 season, for 13 yards at Wisconsin and for two yards at Iowa State...played in four games as a sophomore in 2008, posting three tackles (1 solo, 2 assists)...posted a season-best two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) vs Florida International (9/6)...also had a single tackle vs Maine (8/30).

High School: Four-year letterman at Willingboro High where he played wide receiver and inside linebacker for coach Nelson Hayspell...named first-team all-county, all-conference and All-South Jersey as a senior when he hauled in 35 passes for 596 yards and 10 touchdowns as a wideout while recording 87 tackles and five interceptions - including two returned for touchdowns...also named team captain as a senior...tabbed second-team all-county and all-conference as a junior after tallying 75 tackles and seven interceptions...claimed third-team all-conference honors as a freshman and sophomore.

Personal: Born Dezman Mirrill Moses on Jan. 4, 1989, in Willingboro, N.J...son of Vernon and Valerie Moses...has two sisters, Lauren and Shaina...father, Vernon, played collegiate baseball at Rowan University...cousin, Darnell Jennings and Terrance Howard, played collegiate football at Western Michigan and Notre Dame, respectively...majoring in sociology.
