An All-District 8-5A honoree his final two prep seasons. Passed for 4,513 yards and 32 touchdowns during his career. As a senior, completed 182-of-304 (59.8 percent) passes for 2,007 yards and 12 touchdowns. Connected on 194-of-322 (60.2 percent) passes as a junior for 2,068 yards and 15 scores, and was 63-of-91 for 538 yards and five touchdowns as a sophomore. Also lettered four years in basketball and three seasons in track and field. A member of Mu Alpha Theta, "Who's Who Among American High School Students" and was named second-team Academic All-State.
