TULANE: A two-year letterwinner who has played in six of 16 career games... missed the spring campaign with a back injury.

2007 (SOPHOMORE): Started six of eight games at fullback and was used primarily as a blocker and receiver... did not carry the ball but did record seven receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown... scored his first collegiate touchdown on an eight-yard pass from Scott Elliott in the season opener vs. Mississippi State... registered the longest catch of his career with a 13-yard reception vs. Southeastern Louisiana... did not play vs. SMU, Tulsa or UTEP due to a back injury... 2006 (FRESHMAN): Played in eight games... began his freshman season as a linebacker and was switched to fullback during the final weeks of the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: As a senior, was a second team all-district performer and received Linebacker of the Year merits after posting 81 tackles, including 47 solo stops, 17 tackles for loss, two sacks, two interceptions, four pass break-ups, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries... as a junior, had 11 tackles (eight solo) and one pass breakup on defense, and tallied 227 yards on 47 carries as a fullback on offense... a two-year letterman who led his team to the state semifinals and district titles both years.

PERSONAL: Undecided on a major... born Jeremy Newcomb McKinney on October 24, 1987, in Huntsville, Texas... one of two sons of Ricky and Deandra McKinney.
