Two-way player who earned all-district honors on offense and defense as a senior. A first team all-district choice on defense and was a second-team selection on offense. Defensive MVP of District 8-2A as a junior in 2002 and was a first team all-state selection at linebacker that season. Earned second team all-district honors as a tight end his sophomore year. Totalled 227 career tackles, including 136 solo stops. Intercepted a pair of passes and had one sack. Prep team went to the state quarterfinals in 2002 and 2003 and won the district title in 2002. A 2002 all-district selection in baseball. Made the Class 2A Academic All-State team as a senior.
