Missed the spring while rehabbing a broken foot suffered during the 2003 season.

2003: Played in the first three games of the year, including a pair of starts at tackle, but was medically redshirted as injuries forced him out of the lineup for the remainder of the season. Had a total of four tackles, including three in the opener against TCU (9/1) while also forcing a fumble.

2002: Led the Green Wave defense and ranked third in Conference USA in fumbles recovered with three. A mainstay in the Wave's defensive line rotation who started the Army game (11/16) when Roxie Shelvin was out with an ankle injury. Had one fumble return for four yards, versus UL-Monroe (10/5). Fifth among all Wave defensive linemen in terms of plays. Compiled 13 tackles, eight solo, on the year. Recovered a pair of fumbles in Tulane's win at UL-Monroe. Also picked up a ball versus Army (11/16). Had a pair of solo tackles with a tackle for loss versus Cincinnati (10/12). Also credited with two tackles in the Southern, Texas and Southern Miss games. Notched his only sack of the year in the UAB game (10/19).

2001: Did not play in the opener, but quickly earned a slot on the defensive line. Played in the remaining 11 games, including seven starts at defensive tackle. Tallied 28 tackles, including three for loss. Posted a season-high six tackles and forced a fumble against Louisville (11/3). Notched his first career sack against Cincinnati (10/6). Had five tackles with a fumble recovery against TCU (10/13).

HIGH SCHOOL: Late signee who was a two-time first team all-district player in 1999 and 2000. Also earned honorable mention all-district honors as a sophomore. First team all-city selection in 2000. Named the defensive Most Valuable Player and outstanding defensive lineman on his high school team and won the leadership award following his senior year. Collected 50 tackles with five quarterback sacks as a senior. Won the state powerlifting championship as a senior. Played for Coach Jim Ledford at Berkner. Also considered Texas A&M, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma.
