Returned to the field for the first time in a year this spring after a shoulder injury forced him to miss the 2005 season.

2005: Redshirted the season following shoulder surgery.

2004: Started all 11 games at right guard for the Green Wave. Graded out to a career-best 77 percent for 664 plays, including 12 knockdown blocks. His top games came against TCU (11/27), Army (11/13) and Florida A&M (9/11). Tulane running backs totaled three 100-yard days on the season while quarterbacks were sacked just 24 times in 11 games.

2003: Played in all 12 games with 11 starts at right guard. Earned a 70 percent grade on 563 plays with six knockdown blocks. Had his top game against Navy (11/1) when he graded out at 85 percent.

2002: True freshman who served as a back-up at guard and played on the field goal/PAT team for the final nine games of the year. In on more plays than any other back-up on the offensive line. Had 124 "plus" plays on the season with three knockdown blocks. Helped clear the way to Mewelde Moore's 1,000-yard rushing season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Honorable mention all-state choice by the Texas Sports Writers Association as a senior. Two-time first team all-district selection. Also a member of the All-East Texas team both years. Credited with 55 pancake blocks and 75 knockdowns as a senior. His junior season, tallied 45 pancake blocks and 60 knockdowns. For his career, had 125 pancakes and 160 knockdowns. Helped lead the Lions to the state title game as a junior. Coached by Allen Wilson. Also participated in track and field.

PERSONAL: Full name is Donald Royce Madlock. Born March 15, 1984, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. The son of Donald and Linda Madlock. The youngest of six children. Member of the National Honor Society who was ranked in the top 15 percent of his senior class. A double major in accounting and legal studies.
