Career Notes: One-year Tulane and two-year college letterman has 134 tackles (66 solo, 68 assists), 7.5 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one pass break-up and an interception for his career...made an immediate impact after transferring from Duke following the 2008 season and has now played in 23 games with 12 starts...is expected to start at middle linebacker for the second consecutive season...named to the 2011 Rotary Lombardi Award Watchlist as one of the nation's top down linemen, tight ends and linebackers.

2010: Started all 12 games at middle linebacker as a redshirt-sophomore...named Louisiana Newcomer of the Year and first-team All-Louisiana by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association, first-team All-Conference USA by Phil Steele Publications and second-team All C-USA by a vote of league coaches and media after leading the team with 124 tackles (63 solo, 61 assists)...also tied for the team lead in forced fumbles (3), while ranking tied for third in fumble recoveries (1), fourth in tackles for loss (7.5), tied for fourth in interceptions (1) and tied for eighth in pass break-ups (1)...ranked fourth in C-USA and 17th in the NCAA in tackles per game (10.3), and tied for fourth in the league in forced fumbles per game (0.25)...became the first Tulane player to post 100-plus tackles in a season since Anthony Cannon had 114 in 2005, and his 61 assisted stops ranks tied for seventh in Green Wave single-season history...had double-digit tackle totals on eight occasions, including a career-best 17 (10 solo, 7 assists) vs Army (10/9)...had 14 tackles (10 solo, 4 assists) to go with a tackle for loss vs Ole Miss (9/11)...earned C-USA Defensive Player of the Week honors after tallying 13 stops (5 solo, 8 assists), 2.0 tackles for loss and forcing a fumble vs Southeastern Louisiana (9/2)...also had 13 tackles (3 solo, 10 assists) at Marshall (11/27)...returned one fumble for 15 yards and picked off a pass for a six-yard return to along with eight tackles (6 solo, 2 assists) vs Rice (11/13).

High School: Four-year letterman at Carencro high for coaches Cyril Crutchfield and Lance Guidry...listed as the No. 36 inside linebacker in the country and No. 34 overall prospect from Louisiana by Rivals.com...ranked as the No. 91 inside linebacker in the nation by ESPN.com...named the LSWA Class 5A Defensive Most Valuable Player as a senior...tabbed 5A All-State selection in each of his final two prep seasons...chosen as a 2007 PrepNation 101 All-American...as a senior, recorded 103 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, five sacks, one interception, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries...also rushed for 636 yards and 10 touchdowns as Carencro went 7-4...posted 161 tackles, 12 sacks, six forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries as a junior...compiled 105 tackles and eight sacks as a sophomore...three-time all-district choice...helped Carencro to three consecutive state playoff berths...also lettered in track and field, soccer and bowling.
