Career Notes: Two-year Tulane and three-year college letterman has 279 tackles (162 solo, 117 assists), 21.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, two interceptions - including one returned for touchdown - and one pass break-up on defense while running once for a one-yard loss and catching one pass for a three-yard touchdown...played in 35 games with 24 starts...became the first Tulane player since Anthony Cannon in 2005 to surpass the 100-tackle plateau when he tallied 124 as a sophomore, and is one of just nine players in Tulane history to post consecutive 100-stop seasons after recording 145 as a junior...his 145 stops in 2011 ranks tied for 10th in Tulane single-season history as does his 96 solo stops a year ago...his 61 assisted stops in 2010 ranks tied for seventh in the program's annals...listed atop the depth chart at middle linebacker entering preseason practice where he is expected to start for the third consecutive season.

2011: Started all12 games he played in at middle linebacker as a junior...named first-team All-Conference USA, first-team All-Louisiana and earned a spot on the Rotary Lombardi Watch List after leading the team with 145 tackles (96 solo, 49 assists) and tackles for loss (14.0)...finished tied for second on the squad in fumble recoveries, third in sacks (4.5) and tied for third in interceptions (1)...ranked second in C-USA in tackles per game (12.1), sixth in tackles for loss per game (1.17) and 14th in sacks per game (0.38)...sat fourth nationally in tackles per contest and tied for 44th in tackles for loss per outing...had double-digit tackle totals on eight occasions, including a career-high 18 (16 solo, 2 assists) vs Syracuse (10/8)...twice named C-USA Defensive Player of the Week: after posting 16 stops (13 solo, 3 assists), including his first career sack, vs Southeastern Louisiana (9/3) and following a nine-tackle (4 solo, 5 assist), 0.5 tackle-for-loss, one-interception performance at UAB (9/17)...returned pick against Blazers 39 yards for a touchdown...added a score on offense with a three-yard touchdown reception against Southeastern...had four multiple tackle-for-loss contests, including a career-high 3.0, including a sack, at SMU (11/5)...recorded 15 tackles (4 solo, 11 assists), a tackle for loss and a fumble recovery returned 20 yards at East Carolina (10/29)...also had single-sack outings vs Memphis (10/22) and at Rice (11/19) while adding a half a sack among 1.5 tackles for loss vs Tulsa (9/10).

2010: Started all 12 games at middle linebacker as a redshirt-sophomore...named Louisiana Newcomer of the Year and first-team All-Louisiana, first-team All-Conference USA by Phil Steele Publications and second-team All C-USA by a vote of league coaches and media after leading the team with 124 tackles (63 solo, 61 assists)...also tied for the team lead in forced fumbles (3), while ranking tied for third in fumble recoveries (1), fourth in tackles for loss (7.5), tied for fourth in interceptions (1) and tied for eighth in pass break-ups (1)...ranked fourth in C-USA and 17th in the NCAA in tackles per game (10.3), and tied for fourth in the league in forced fumbles per game (0.25)...had double-digit tackle totals on eight occasions, including a season-best 17 (10 solo, 7 assists) vs Army (10/9)...had 14 tackles (10 solo, 4 assists) to go with a tackle for loss vs Ole Miss (9/11)...earned C-USA Defensive Player of the Week honors after tallying 13 stops (5 solo, 8 assists), 2.0 tackles for loss and forcing a fumble vs Southeastern Louisiana (9/2)...also had 13 tackles (3 solo, 10 assists) at Marshall (11/27)...returned one fumble for 15 yards and picked off a pass for a six-yard return to along with eight tackles (6 solo, 2 assists) vs Rice (11/13).
