The Green Wave lost 33-17 to the Memphis Tigers on October 22nd, 2011 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
2011: Played in 12 games with four starts at wide receiver as a true freshman...finished seventh on the team in both catches (14) and receiving yards (143), and 10th in all-purpose yards (169)...tallied a career-high with three catches twice: for a career-best 41 yards, including a season-long 20-yard grab, in first career start at UAB (9/17) and for 27 yards at East Carolina (10/29)...added two-catch performances for 22 yards vs Memphis (10/22) and for 24 yards at Rice (11/19)...ran once for 26 yards at Duke (9/24)...also earned starts at SMU (11/5), vs Houston (11/10) and at Hawai'i (11/26).
High School: Two-year letterman at McMain High for coach Kevin Roussell...rated a two-star recruit by Rivals.com and Scout.com...helped the Mustangs to a combined 12-9 record over his final two prep seasons, including their first-ever trip to the state playoffs as a senior...for his career, completed 61-of-121 passes for 881 yards and six touchdowns, rushing 159 times for 755 yards and 15 scores, and hauling in four passes for 62 yards...as a senior, first-team all-metro (athlete) after completing 48-of-72 passes for 753 yards and 11 touchdowns, rushing 136 times for 879 yards and 14 touchdowns, catching one pass for a 43-yard score and converting 16 PATs...earned Metro Athlete of the Week honors on Nov. 3 after running for 17 yards and three scores while throwing for 145 yards and a touchdown in a 40-28 win over De La Salle, and was selected to play in the Darren Sharper Lake Pontchartrain All-Star Classic.
