As a senior, named to LSWA 2A All-State and Baton Rouge Advocate 3A-2A-1A All-Metro teams at linebacker after posting 93 tackles, including 46 solo. Also earned first team all-district honors at linebacker and at tight end. Tallied 12 tackles for loss, three sacks and five pass break ups his final season. Selected as his team's Top Defensive Player and earned Most Improved honors. Also given the Defensive Coaches' Award. Member of the Academic All-State team. Played defensive end as a junior and sophomore before moving to linebacker for his senior season. Team advanced to the second round of the playoffs in 2005. Played basketball for University as a junior and picked up second team all-district honors.
