Two year starter who is the most experienced member of the Green Wave offensive line. 2003: Played in 11 games with 10 starts at right tackle. Missed the Mississippi State game (9/13) with a shoulder injury. Graded out at 72 percent on 581 plays. Also had nine knockdown blocks and one key block (a block which led to a Tulane touchdown or big play). Top game came against Louisville (10/17) when he graded out at 81 percent. 2002: Started all 13 games at right tackle for the Green Wave. In for more plays, 849, than any other player on the Tulane offensive line. Received a "plus" on 544 of those plays. Third on the team with 11 knockdown blocks. Credited with four "key blocks" that led to a Tulane big play or touchdown. Averaged out to a grade above 70 percent for the season. Picked up a J.P. Losman fumble and rumbled eight yards against Memphis (9/21) to put his name in the season statistics. Helped Mewelde Moore to his second straight 1,000-yard rushing season. Also served as the team's back-up left tackle and switched over to that side once or twice during the year. 2001: Played in all 12 games for the Wave, seeing action on the line and special teams. 2000: Redshirted the season. HIGH SCHOOL: A 2000 graduate of Redemptorist High School, where he lettered in football, basketball and track. Played both tight end and offensive lineman as a senior captain for Coach Sid Edwards. A two-time all-district selection, as well as first team all-metro and second team All-State honoree. Earned Louisiana Trenchman of the Week accolades. Selected as his team's Top Graded Blocker three years in a row. Chose Tulane over LSU, Louisiana Tech and Southern Mississippi. PERSONAL: Full name is James William Kosienski.
