Career Notes: Two-year letterman has 20 tackles (16 solo, 4 assists), 3.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack and a fumble recovery for his career...played in 20 games with four starts...once again expected to push for time in the secondary and help out on special teams.
2011: Saw action in nine games as a sophomore...finished with four tackles (2 solo, 2 assists)...tallied a season-best three stops (1 solo, 2 assists) vs Houston (11/10)...also had a solo stop at Rice (11/19).
2010: Played in 11 games with four starts as a redshirt-freshman...finished tied for fourth on the team in fumble recoveries (1), sixth in tackles for loss (3.0), tied for sixth in sacks (1.0) and tied for seventh in pass break-ups (1) while posting 16 tackles (14 solo, 2 assists)...had a career-best five tackles (4 solo, 1 assist) with a sack and a fumble recovery vs SMU (10/30) in first career start...posted three tackles (2 solo, 1 assist) with a stop for a three-yard loss at Tulsa (10/16) and recorded two-tackle outings at Houston (9/25), vs Southern Miss (11/6) and vs Rice (11/13).
2009: Did not play as a true freshman.
High School: Three-year letterman at Brenham High where he played running back, wide receiver and cornerback for coach Glen West...named two-star recruit and the No. 164 cornerback in the nation by Scout.com...also tabbed a two-star recruit by Rivals.com...helped the Cubs go a combined 27-11 with three trips to the state playoffs and a pair of District 18-4A titles during his prep career...as a senior, ran for 940 yards and tallied 525 through the air on offense while posting 33 tackles and three interceptions on defense...had 275 yards rushing and 52 receiving in Brenham's 2008 playoff opener...also earned four letters in track and field and two in basketball.
Personal: Born Kendrick Dewaine Washington on Jan. 28, 1991, in Brenham, Texas...son of Kenneth and Janice Washington...has two brothers; Brandon, who ran track at Barton Junior College, and twin Kendrell, who is a current teammate at Tulane...majoring in business management.
