Finalist for the Houston Touchdown Club's Defensive Player of the Year award. An All-Greater Houston choice as a senior. Earned all-district honors in 2004 and 2005. His senior season, made 150 tackles with seven tackles for loss and five quarterback sacks. Also blocked three punts and scored one touchdown off a blocked punt. Cy-Creek won the district and bi-district championships in his senior season, compiling an 8-4 record in Class 5A. A four-year letterwinner in baseball who also earned first team all-district honors on the diamond in 2004 and 2005. Qualified for the Honor Roll.
