2011: Walk-on did not play as a true freshman...off the field, was a member of the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and Tulane's 3.0 Club.

High School: Four-year letterwinner at New Iberia High for coach Rick Hutson...helped the Yellow Jackets post a combined 25-17 record and earn three trips to the state playoffs...earned all-district honors in each of his final three prep seasons ans was named honorable-mention all-state as a senior...threw for over 5,500 yards for his career...also earned three letters in baseball...off the field, graduated as class valedictorian.
