Career Notes: One-year letterman has 24 tackles (15 solo, 9 assists) – including one sack - in 13 career games with two starts…also owns one interception and returned one kickoff for 22 yards on special teams…will open fall practice atop the depth chart at nickel.
2014: Did not play as a sophomore and redshirted the season.
2013: Played in all 13 games with two starts at nickelback as a true freshman...ranked tied for fourth on the team in interceptions (1), tied for fifth in forced fumbles (1) and tied for 10th in sacks (1.0) while posting 24 tackles (15 solo, 9 assists) with 1.5 tackles for loss and returning one kickoff for 22 yards...had a season-high seven tackles (4 solo, 3 assists) with a sack vs UTEP (11/23)...posted four tackles twice: 2 solo, 2 assists with a half tackle for loss and an interception vs Jackson State (8/29) and 2 solo, 2 assists with a forced fumble at ULM (9/28)...added three solo stops vs East Carolina (10/12)...logged two solo stops at Syracuse (9/21) and had single-tackle outings at Louisiana Tech (9/12), vs Tulsa (10/26), at UTSA (11/9) and vs Louisiana-Lafayette in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl (12/21)...lone kickoff return came at UTSA.
High School: Two-year letterman at University Lab for coaches John Shoptau and Chad Mahaffey...rated a two-star recruit by ESPN.com, Rivals.com and Scout.com...received a 79 rating, listed as the No. 77 recruit in the state and the No. 128 safety in the nation by 247Sports.com...also rated the No. 172 safety in the country by Scout.com...helped lead the Cubs to a combined 25-3 overall record, a pair of trips to the state playoffs and consecutive District 7-2A championships with unblemished 5-0 marks each year...as a senior, earned first-team all-state, all-metro and all-district honors after posting 113 tackles, three interceptions and nine pass break-ups...as a junior, named second-team all-state, first team all-district on defense and second-team all-district as a punt returner...also lettered three years in track and field in hurdles...off the field, was a member of the Food Bank Support Group and served as the Clothes Drive coordinator.
