Prep: First-team all-district and all-state selection as a senior. Earned second team all-district honors his junior season. Tallied 206 tackles and seven interceptions in his career with 10 pass break-ups, three fumbles forced and two recovered. Returned six interceptions for 224 yards as a senior, including a school-record 104-yard return for a score. Credited with 102 tackles and eight pass break-ups while also forcing one fumble and recovering one in 2003. As a junior, made 88 tackles and picked off one pass while playing cornerback. Returned INT for a score, broke up two passes and forced a pair of fumbles. Also caught seven passes that season. Helped lead his team to the Louisiana Class 1A State Championship game in 2003. State champion in the 110-meter high hurdles in a time of 14.9 seconds. Also named to the state's All-Academic team and was a WGNO Channel 26 Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
