Charles Hall was inducted into the 1981 Tulane Hall OF Fame.
Charles Hall a Marion High School graduate earned three letters in football and basketball going to Tulane on a grant-in-aid. The native of Lake Charles, La. was an All-American first unit selection in 1973 and was considered to have an excellent chance to repeat in 1974. An early season injury eliminated him from full time action, but Hall was still chosen in the fourth round by the New Orleans Saints in the NFL Draft in 1975. When his knee injury did not respond Hall moved to the WFL for a year with Jacksonville. He made another advancement when head football coach Larry Smith announced that the former All-American and graduate assistant coach will now be in charge of the junior varsity football program at Tulane.
