2004: Played in all 11 games as a true freshman... most of his action came on special teams, but earned a start at strong safety against Army (11/13)... totalled 21 tackles (13 solo), including a career-best six (two solo) in the Army victory... also registered four tackles against Florida A&M (9/11) and three each against Navy (11/6) and TCU (11/27).
HIGH SCHOOL: Talented return man who was a three-year starter at safety in high school... defensive Player of the Year nominee by the Houston Touchdown Club... totalled 10 interceptions and scored eight touchdowns in his prep career... recorded 89 tackles and made six interceptions as a senior with 52 solo stops... scored five touchdowns, three receiving and one each on a punt return and an interception return in 2003... also caught 17 passes for 170 yards in 2003... compiled 275 yards on 17 punt returns for a 16.2 average. Added a 64-yard punt return for a score... made 89 tackles in 2002 with four pickoffs and three scores... helped his team to the district title in 2003 and to the state playoffs in 2001 and 2003... also played basketball and led the district in assists as a junior.
