2012: Started all 12 games at right tackle as a senior...helped the team average 319.5 yards of total offense per game (39.6 rushing, 279.9 passing)...paved the way for a season-high 619 yards of total offense, including a season-best 153 yard showing on the ground, vs UAB (10/27)...provided protection for five 300-plus yard passing games, including a school-record 476 passing yards vs Rice (11/3)...off the field, was a member of the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and Tulane's 3.0 Club.
2011: Started all 13 games at right tackle as a junior...helped the offense average 126.3 rushing and 214.0 passing yards per game...instrumental in the team rolling up a season-best 540 yards of total offense, including a season-high 262 on the ground, at UAB (9/17)...blocked for a pair of 300-yard passing efforts, including a season-best 377 at Memphis (10/22)...paved the way for a pair of 100-yard rushing efforts by teammate Orleans Darkwa...off the field, was a member of the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and Tulane's 3.0 Club.
2010: Saw action in 11 games with 10 starts at right tackle as a redshirt-sophomore...helped the offense average 127.5 rushing and 245.8 passing yards per game...helped pave the way for a pair of 200-yard team rushing performances, including a season-best 270-yard effort vs SMU (10/30)...pass blocking helped the Wave throw for 300-plus yards three times, including a 446-yard performance at Tulsa (10/16) - the fourth-most yards through the air in team history...was instrumental in assisting teammate Orleans Darkwa set a Tulane freshman record with 925 rushing yards and surpass the 100-yard mark five times...off the field, was a member of the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and Tulane's 3.0 Club.
2009: Did not play as a sophomore...received a redshirt for the season...off the field, was a member of the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and Tulane's 3.0 Club.
2008: Played in six games as a true freshman, seeing action against Alabama (9/6), Army (10/4), Rice (10/25), Houston (11/8), Tulsa (11/22) and Memphis (11/29)...in games he played in, helped the team average 75.8 rushing yards and 240.8 passing yards per game.
High School: Four-year letterman at Spain Park High for coach John Grass...rated No. 91 offensive tackle in the nation by ESPN.com and No. 106 by Scout.com...as a senior, earned honorable-mention all-state honors and claimed first-team All-Shelby County recognition...helped pave the way for an offense that helped the Jaguars to a 13-2 record and an appearance in the 6A state championship game...also earned varsity letters in wrestling where he finished sixth in the state in 2007...off the field, is a member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Photography Club...four-time all-academic team member and member of the A-B Honor Roll.
Personal: Born Eric Thomas Jones on Oct. 5, 1989, in Cincinnati, Ohio...son of Frank and Jackie Jones...has one brother, Alex, who played collegiate baseball at Jacksonville State...completed his degree in finance in May 2013.
