Career Notes: Four-year letterman posted 56 tackles (49 solo, 7 assists), 3.0 tackles for loss, one sack, a pass break-up and a forced fumble on defense while returning eight kickoffs for 151 yards (18.9 avg.) during his career...played in 37 games with four starts.
2011: Played in five games with a pair of starts as a senior...started the final two games of the year and tied a career-high with six tackles in each contest: 4 solo, 2 assists at Rice (11/19), 6 solo at Hawai'i (11/26)...posted first career pass break-up in the season finale against the Warriors...added a pair of tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) vs Houston (11/10)...missed first eight games of the season due to injury.
2010: Saw action in 11 games as a junior...posted 11 solo stops, including a pair of tackles for loss and a sack...had a pair of three-tackle outings: vs Rice (11/13) and vs UCF (11/20)...had tackles for loss against UCF, including his first career sack, and at Marshall (11/27)...also had a two-tack performance vs Army (10/9).
2009: Played in all 12 games as a sophomore, including starts at Rice (11/12) and at UCF (11/21)...finished third on the team in forced fumbles (1) and tied for 10th in tackles with 31 (27 solo, 4 assists)...tallied a career-best six tackles (all solo) at UCF (11/21)...also had four-tackle performances vs Houston (10/17) and at LSU (10/31)...forced a fumble vs McNeese State (9/26).
2008: Saw action in nine games as a redshirt-freshman...used primarily as a kick return specialist, ranked second on the team in yards per return (22.1) while sitting fourth in return yards (155) and fifth in returns (7)...posted career-best numbers at Tulsa (11/22) with five returns for 84 yards...had a team-best 48-yard kickoff return at Houston (11/8).
2007: Did not play as a true freshman...redshirted the season.
High School: Three-year letterman at Clear Creek High for coach Darryl Warden...earned second-team all-district 24-5A honors his final two prep seasons, and claimed a spot on the honorable-mention list as a sophomore...helped the Wildcats win the 2005 district crown and advance to the state playoffs as a junior and senior...as a senior, caught 26 passes for 341 yards and five touchdowns...as a junior, hauled in four passes for 150 yards and a score to help CCHS post its first state playoff win since 1962...also lettered in track and field.
