Lowell Dawson

Lowell Dawson was inducted into the 1980 Tulane Hall OF Fame. Lowell Dawson played quarterback for Tulane from 1930-32. The 1930 and 31' squads won the Southern Conference Championship and Tulane appeared in the '32 Rose Bowl. Later as coach at his alma mater, Dawson's 1939 team was undefeated and played in the 1940 Sugar Bowl. While at Buffalo, the Bills won the Eastern Division Championship in 1948 and 1949. Dawson left football in l955 for an opportunity in business as a distributor for Gulf Oil Corporation.
