First team all-city choice in Atlanta as a senior while playing cornerback for Benjamin Mays High School. An honorable mention all-city selection as a junior. Made 46 tackles with seven picks and three fumble recoveries his senior season. Compiled 30 tackles and seven interceptions as a junior. In 2003 as a sophomore, again collected seven interceptions with 23 stops. In his varsity career, picked off 21 passes and totaled 99 tackles and three fumble recoveries while also playing receiver and returning kicks. Added seven interceptions as a freshman. Team compiled an 8-2 record in Class 4A. Ran track and played baseball at Mays. The state runner-up in the (event) in track his junior season and earned all-city honors. Honorable mention all-city in baseball last season. Recognized on his school's honor roll each of his first three years. |
